With children from Dumfries to Oban we had a turnout of 172 juniors at the West of Scotland Megafinal.  The event was held for the 2nd year at Eastwood High School, Newton Mearns.  Jacqui Thomas with the help of 8 arbiters ran the event with the huge turnout providing a fantastic atmosphere & buzz.  The canteen staff did a great job keeping everyone fed & watered & Chess Suppliers were there at hand for buying the training tools for the future. 65 children qualified for the Gigafinal being held in Manchester on the 6th & 7th July.
